Deadline is July 9 for Cruise Night entries

The deadline to register vehicles for Glendale's 16th annual Cruise Night Car Show and Street Party is July 9.

The event, featuring headliners Sha Na Na, will be from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. July 18 along Brand Boulevard.

Four-hundred classic cars and trucks are expected to apply for this year's car show, said city of Glendale spokesman Ritch Wells.

Entry forms must be submitted in advance because there will not be a “holding lot” for late entries, Wells said.

Entry forms can be downloaded from www.ci.glendale.ca.us.

For more information, call (818) 548-2184 or the city's community hotline at (818) 548-6464.

This year's celebrity car judge will be entertainer Pat Boone.

Other entertainment planned is the Jan and Dean Show and the Four Preps. Master of ceremonies will be KRTH (101 FM) radio disc jockey Brian Beirne, Mr. Rock 'n' Roll.
