Fireworks and carnival planned
The Crescenta Valley Fireworks Association is now planning for the third annual fireworks show and carnival being held on July 4 at La Crescenta Elementary School. In addition to ticket sales, the association is seeking supplementary funding to offset the expenses to host the show, including insurance, security, permits and the biggest expense: the fireworks. Less than half of the expenses are paid for with ticket sales and it is the Crescenta Valley Fireworks Association’s goal to keep the show affordable for the families that attend the event.
Tickets can be purchased at Crescenta Valley Insurance, 3923 Foothill Blvd. (8 a.m.–5 p.m.); CV Chamber office at 3131 Foothill Blvd., Unit D, La Crescenta (10 a.m.-2 p.m.); Bob Smith Toyota, 3322 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta (9 a.m.- 5 p.m.); J’s Maintenance, 3550 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) and Paul’s Professional Window Washing, 2707 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta (8 a.m.-4 p.m.). Tickets are $5 for general admission; kids under 2 are free.
Gates open at 4 p.m. and close at 8:30 p.m. the show begins shortly thereafter.
