Downtown Burbank Free Summer Concert series starts today and continues every Thursday night in July and August on the AMC Walkway at Palm Avenue and San Fernando Boulevard in Downtown Burbank. Festivities start at 6 p.m. with dance lessons by Francisco and Stacey of the Dance Family Studio, then a two-hour concert begins at 7 p.m. This week, Phat Cat Swinger performs music reminiscent of Bobby Darin, Louis Prima and Frank Sinatra mixed with new swing sounds of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. A history walk presented by the city of Glendale, the L.A. County Bicycle Coalition and the Glendale Historical Society will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the chess park across from Alex Theatre, 227 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale. It will be a guided tour visiting historic spots in downtown Glendale.
