BRIEFLY IN BUSINESS: Local hospital adds orthopedic surgeon

Loren Geller has joined Verdugo Hills Hospital as its newest orthopedic surgeon.

Geller graduated from Glendale High School before going on to complete his undergraduate studies in 1998 at USC. He graduated from the USC Keck School of Medicine in 2002.

Before opening his practice and joining Verdugo Hills Hospital, Geller completed his residency at Canada’s McGill University Health Center in Montreal, Quebec, and finished his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship in Birmingham, Ala. Geller, a Glendale resident, specializes in orthopedic sports medicine.

Glendale Advanced Dentistry expands

Missagh Pezeshkian’s Glendale Advanced Dentistry office expanded to its new location Friday, at 1016 E. Broadway, Suite 107 in Glendale.

Pezeshkian began his dental practice in Maryland in 1986 after graduating from Howard University.

In 2005, he moved his practice to Glendale.

Allstate’s Valiente honored with award

Allstate Insurance Company recently recognized Allstate executive agency owner Marta Valiente with the Regional Champions Award for high standards in customer service satisfaction, customer retention and business growth.

In addition, Valiente’s agency has been ranked as one of the insurance company’s top agencies in the nation in auto, property, commercial, power sports insurance and financial service sales.
