WEDDING

Erin Lisa Kaneko of La Cañada Flintridge and Travis Joseph Young of Montrose were married at the St. Regis Resort and Spa in Dana Point in May. Judge Wade Olson officiated.

Erin is the daughter of Osamu and Kathleen Kaneko of La Cañada Flintridge.

She graduated from Flintridge Preparatory High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in international relations. She received a master’s degree in international relations at Waseda University in Japan and is a doctorate candidate in development studies attending Waseda University in Japan.

Travis is the son of Allen and Gail Young of La Cañada Flintridge. He graduated from Loyola High School and received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UC San Diego. He is pursuing a master’s degree in international relations from Waseda University.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The maids of honor were Jennifer Maness and Lisa Metz. Bridesmaids were Nancy Tinkham, sister of the groom; Tracy Young, sister of the groom. The flower girl was Emily Tinkham, the niece of the groom and the ring bearer was Ian Tinkham, nephew of the groom. Music for the ceremony was provided by Queen May, an Irish sextet, and soloist Gavin Coyle.

The best men were Ron Young, the brother of the groom; and Eric Locko. The groomsmen were Kevin Kaneko, the brother of the bride; Kyle Keagan, Alan Gaskill, David Tinkham and Andy Rupp.

The ushers were James Whitaker, Jarett Olson, Stefan Clausen, Jon Olson, Rob Barreca, Stefan Kelly, David Bynum, Amit Sura and Daniel Rothenberg.

The reception followed the wedding at the St. Regis Resort and Spa. Music entertainment was by West Coast Music. The couple took a trip to Cook Islands and have made their home in Tokyo, Japan.
