Ann Lauren Cimmarusti, the daughter of Larry and Amalia Cimmarusti of La Cañada Flintridge, and Jeff Alan Amaral, the son of Emily Amaral of Manhattan Beach, were married during an evening Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels in Los Angeles on July 11.
The ceremony was officiated by Msgr. Kevin Kostelnik and witnessed by 500 guests where the cathedral’s choir sang for the entire ceremony.
The bride’s father walked her down the aisle.
Her maid of honor was her sister, Paula Cimmarusti, and her bridesmaids were Michelle Cimmarusti, Ann’s sister-in-law; and cousins Loretta Cimmarusti Lauren Nelson, Jessica Stopak, Candace Mance, Michelle Mance and longtime friend Michelle Brazil. Flower girls were Natalie Turiace and Isabella Anguili.
The groom’s brother, Todd Amaral, was best man, and the groomsmen were Patrick Cimmarusti, Ann’s brother, and friends Arron Grasse, Mike Resnick, Ravel Brown and Tim Ulibarri. Ushers were Ralph Cimmarusti, Larry Cimmarusti, James Mance, Michael Mance and Alex Stopak. Ring bearers were Paul and James Mance.
After the ceremony, the couple were driven in a 2009 white Rolls Royce to the reception on the field at Dodger Stadium.
Guests entered the stadium on a red carpet with rose petals, and their names were on the scoreboard as they entered the field.
White lights welcoming the newlyweds circled the entire field.
After cocktails, guests were seated on the outfield where the bride had it carpeted in white carpet.
Around the orchestra were silver shelves that were lined with baseballs, which later in the evening were signed by the bride and groom and longtime family friend Tommy Lasorda, the former Dodgers manager, and his wife Jo Lasorda.
During the bride and groom’s first dance, the outfield was illuminated by white fireworks.
Dinner was served, and the main entree, Dodger dogs on white china, was brought in by servers marching to the tune of “Take Me Out To The Ball Game.” After dinner, Roger the Peanut Man tossed out peanuts to guests.
The couple ended the evening with “The Hawaiian Wedding Song,” and Amalia presented Ann with a lei of orchids, while Emily presented Jeff with a traditional groom’s lei of tea leafs.
The next morning, the bride’s parents hosted a brunch at the Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena for out-of-town guests and family.
The couple will make their home In El Segundo.
