National Charity League Inc., Glendale Chapter sponsors a Giant Group Rummage Sale from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pacific Community Center, 501 S. Pacific Ave., Glendale. The events benefits Twelve Oaks Lodge, a nonprofit retirement home in La Crescenta and educational scholarships for local students. Glendale Elks Lodge will have its annual Chili Cook-off and Salsa Contest at the lodge, 120 E. Colorado St., Glendale. The public is encouraged to compete. Set up is at 9 a.m. with food preparation at 10 a.m. Cooking is from 11 a.m. to 1:30 followed by judging. Entry fee is $20 and there will be a cash prize for the best chili. Singer-songwriter Marie Digby will perform live as part of a concert sponsored by Donate Life at 7:35 p.m. at the Americana at Brand. Digby’s new album “Breathing Underwater” debuted at No. 1 on Amazon’s download charts.
