Zarian to host Friedman

Councilwoman Laura Friedman is scheduled to appear live on â€œThe Larry Zarian Showâ€ Thursday to discuss a number of City Hall policy issues.

The recent moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries and a council vote protesting the proposed 710 Freeway extension are among the topics up for discussion. Zarian and Friedman will also likely discuss campaign finance rules and how the relate to elected officials covering the costs of attending public functions and serving on regional commissions.

The show airs at 7 p.m. on Channel 280.

Candidate forum scheduled

The Crescenta Valley Town Council on Thursday will host an election forum for candidates running for seats on the council and Crescenta Valley Water District.

The forum is set to start at 6:30 p.m. in the Rosemont Middle School cafeteria, 4725 Rosemont Ave.
