YOUNGSTERS COMPETE IN SHOOT

Glendale Elks Lodge No. 1289 invites all boys and girls ages 8 through 13 to participate in its annual Hoop Shoot basketball competition at 8 a.m. Dec. 5 at the Hoover High School gym, 651 Glenwood Road, Glendale.

Winners who qualify will go on to represent their respective schools at district, regional and national competitions.

The competition is open to all students in public and private schools in the Glendale area. Schools that wish to participate should contact John Jolly, Glendale Hoop Shoot chairman, at (818) 242-2105 or asailor758@ail.com.

CLUBS SUPPORT KETTLE CAMPAIGN

Glendale Sunrise Rotary and Kiwanis Club of Glendale are co-hosting the second annual Kettle Kick-off breakfast at 7 a.m. Nov. 20 at the Salvation Army Community Corps Center, 320 W. Windsor Road, Glendale.

Tickets are $20 each, and the Salvation Army Advisory Board will be serving for tips.
