Companies form strategic alliance

Glendale-based Evergreen Development Co., a full-service real estate development firm, and Green Building Services, a Portland-based sustainable development consulting firm, announced this week that they have formed a strategic alliance designed to provide clients fully integrated green building services.

Founded in 1975, Evergreen delivers real estate development. Green Building Services, founded in 2000, is comprised of architects, engineers, interior designers and construction specialists.

Evergreen’s core business is the development of specialty, grocery-anchored neighborhoods and power shopping centers, drugstores, chain store expansions and residential communities.

Green Building Services is nationally recognized for its achievements in supporting green building projects. The company has advised on buildings ranging from elementary schools and hospitals, to commercial office buildings and performing arts centers.

First downloadable mission for ‘Penguin’

Glendale-based Disney Interactive Studios recently announced the release of the first downloadable mission for “Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force for Nintendo DS.”

The game, which is based on the popular snow-covered virtual world of “Club Penguin” has experienced global success since it launched, shipping more than 1 million units worldwide, according to the studio.

Players can download the new free mission, “The Puffle Pranksters,” directly to their DS via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The new mission focuses on spy puffles, a specially-trained, elite group of secret agents in the Club Penguin DS world. A strange mystery involving the colorful creatures has come to light and players must solve it.
