Crescenta Valley 2, Arcadia 1: Pavle Atanackovic scored with 30 seconds left to give the host Falcons a Pacific League win Monday.

Crescenta Valley improved to 7-5-1 and 6-1 in league for 18 points. Gor Grigoryan assisted on the winning tally after Arcadia knotted the match with about three minutes remaining.

Bill Thompson gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute off a pass from Jaehoon Jun.

“Our guys like to make things interesting, but they continue to score late,” Crescenta Valley first-year Coach Kiel McClung said. “They continue to score late and they continue to believe that they can do it.

“They are finding different ways to get that result, and it sets the tone for the second half of league.”

Crescenta Valley goalkeeper Stefan Eng finished with four saves.

The Falcons will face visiting Hoover on Wednesday.

Harvard-Westlake 3, St. Francis 0: The visiting Golden Knights fell Monday in a Mission League match. St. Francis dropped to 4-9-2 and 2-3-2 in league.

“They had better chances and they carried the majority of the play,” St. Francis Coach Glen Appels said. “We didn’t have a lot of shots or pressure.”

St. Francis will host Chaminade on Wednesday.
