City employees cast their votes Monday for the annual “I Love My Neighborhood” poster contest, with the finalists coming out of a pool of thousands of Glendale Unified students.

The grand prize winner is typically announced at an awards ceremony in April, with the top three finalists getting tree plantings at their respective campuses in their honor. The winning students are also honored by the City Council.

The poster competition is organized by Committee for a Clean & Beautiful Glendale, Neighborhood Services and the school district. The theme this year was “Let’s make Glendale Shine 2010.”
