The event will take place at the field at La Crescenta Elementary School, at 43443 Prospect Ave. Gates open at 4 p.m. and close at 8:30 p.m. Before the fireworks, which begin around 9 p.m., festivities will include music, carnival rides, food vendors and face painting.

People are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Coolers will be allowed, but no alcohol and smoking will be permitted.
