Cruise Night street closures

Several downtown streets — including Brand Boulevard — will be blocked off to traffic for the Glendale’s 17th annual Cruise Night Car Show and Street Party.

The event will run on Brand Boulevard from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

The following street closures will take place on Saturday morning in preparation for the event:

9 a.m. – Brand Boulevard from Doran Street to Milford.

11 a.m. – Brand Boulevard between Milford Street and Broadway.

11 a.m. – Milford, Lexington, California and Wilson between Maryland and Orange avenues.

Police officials anticipate heavy traffic, and advise motorists to stick to the following routes:

For those traveling east or west, use cross streets outside the main downtown area, such as Glenoaks Boulevard, Colorado Street, Chevy Chase Drive, Los Feliz.

For those traveling north or south, use of Glendale Avenue, Pacific Avenue and San Fernando Road.

Best access to Glendale Galleria/Americana at Brand would be north on Central Avenue or Brand Boulevard, or via Colorado Street.
