Hospital officials to discuss contributions

Morre Dean, chief executive of Glendale Adventist Medical Center, is scheduled to appear live Thursday on “The Larry Zarian Show” to discuss the hospital’s contributions to the area.

The hospital is in the process of finishing a new tower and has been a major player in stroke and cancer medical care. Kim Milstein, vice president of business development for Glendale Adventist, is also scheduled to appear on the show.

The hospital has also spent millions on earthquake safety retrofits to meet state deadlines, and is one of the few certified stroke centers in the region.

The show airs at 7 p.m. on Charter Cable channel 380. The viewer call-in number is (818) 547-3668.

City launches 24-hour phone line

Glendale has launched a 24-hour hotline for residents to report problems.

City officials will be manning the phones for the hotline — (818) 550-4400 — around the clock to take non-emergency calls from the public on issues including malfunctioning traffic signals, code enforcement, illegal construction, fallen tree limbs, graffiti, potholes, damaged sidewalks and animal related concerns.

Residents can lodge their issues with the city online by clicking on the “Contact us” tab at https://www.ci.glendale.ca.us/
