Julie Ann Jensen
Julie Ann Jensen, loving mother, daughter and partner, passed away in Parker, CO on September 5, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Julie was born in Glendale, CA to Robert and Barbara Jensen of Burbank on July 7, 1958. Julie spent her childhood years in Burbank and graduated in 1976 from John Burroughs High School. In the years to follow, she lived in the Northridge area with the lights of her life, children Amy and Devin. In her later years, Julie relocated to Parker, CO where she was an account manager for Cargill Foods.
Julie loved to shop and collect memorabilia, spend time with her family and help others. Her home was always open and she would always listen with a compassionate heart. She also had a soft spot for animals; she took in and cared for many during her life. One of the last joys of Julie’s short life was attending her daughter’s wedding on July 31st.
Julie is survived by daughter, Amy (Colter) Lankutis of Kent, WA; son, Devin Asbury of parker, CO; partner Shawn Schaffer also of Parker; parents, Robert and Barbara Jensen of Burbank; sister, Sandy (Rob) Wendlandt of Burbank; niece, Jessica and nephew, Jason (Courtney) Wendlandt and great niece, Zoey and great nephews Seth and Ayden. She is also survived by a large number of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills will be handling the services to be held on September 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. A celebration of her life will follow the services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Preventcancer.org or wildlife rescue organization.
