Carmen Joseph “C.J.” Hakeem

Corte Madera, CA – Carmen Joseph “CJ” Hakeem, 69, died Sunday, September 19, 2010, at the Aegis of Corta Madera Assisted Living Facility. Born on January 30, 1941, in Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Nasry and Mary Sarhan Hakeem.

C.J. worked for more than 25 years as crafts service behind the scenes at movie and television studios where he said “Everyday was Friday”. His family will miss his storytelling and showmanship.

Survivors include his daughters Lisa (Lee) Barnes of Mill Valley, CA, and Christen (Craig) Schilling of Glendale, CA, grandchildren Jonas and Ellery Barns and brothers Lee of Rhode Island, Bob of Nevada, and John of New York and sister Arlene of Rhode Island.

Memorial Service will be on Friday, September 24, 2010, at 1:30 P. M. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Glendale, CA at the Wee Kirk o’the Heather Chapel. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice.
