Muriel Burniece (Weicker) Bergstrom

Muriel Burniece (Weicker) Bergstrom of Glendale passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Oct. 28. She was 93.

Born on July 15, 1917, in Edmonton, Alberta, Muriel was the daughter of the late Jacob Angus Weicker and Berté.

In 1942, she married Herbert Edward, who preceded her in death in 1986.

She is survived by daughters Barbara (San Pedro) and Mary (Pasadena, husband Tom). She leaves grandchildren Eric, Michael, Max and Elizabeth Ortiz; Anna Morfit; Ian and Sean Kinard; Sarah McClain; and eight great-grandchildren -- all of whom she treasured. She also will be missed by friends and neighbors.

Muriel was employed at Wetherby-Keyser Shoe Company for 25 years. She was an active volunteer at the Senior Center of Glendale for 20 years. She was a member of the Adams Hill Neighborhood Association and attended Holy Family Church.

A rosary will be held on Friday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. and Funeral Mass Saturday Nov. 6 at 9:30a.m. both at Holy Family Church, 209 East Lomita Ave., Glendale. 91205. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Glendale.
