No injuries were reported after a fire severely damaged a home Saturday morning in the 300 block of Brockmont Drive.
Firefighters arrived about 1:30 a.m. to find heavy smoke exiting the structure as flames had fully enveloped one floor of the house, said Battalion Chief Greg Fish, who was at the scene.
The fire spread from the bottom floor of the two-story hillside home to the second floor at the street level, Glendale Fire Capt. Stuart Stefani said.
"We were told by neighbors initially that there were possibly three individuals inside, but this proved to be false," Fish said.
The Glendale Fire Department sent 29 firefighters to the scene.
No injuries were reported, but the house was nearly destroyed.
The cause of the fire remains unknown as investigators continue to examine evidence from the home.
