Pacific BMW donates $50,000 to school cause

The Glendale-based car dealership Pacific BMW plans to make a $50,000 donation to the Glendale Educational Foundation on Dec. 14 at the Glendale Unified school board meeting.

“Doing business in Glendale for over 30 years makes us appreciate the community, and want to do our part to support the good things that the Glendale Educational Foundation is doing for the schools,” said Nick Lam, vice president of Pacific BMW.

The gift is the single largest contribution to the foundation, officials said.

Founded in 2004, the Glendale Educational Foundation has donated more than $500,000 to the district to finance classroom technology upgrades, physical education equipment and science materials. On Feb. 11, the organization will host Dancing with Diamonds, its signature fundraiser, at the Glendale Hilton Hotel.
