Floyd “Bez” Besvold
Born March 28, 1926 in Duluth, Minnesota to Helga and Lars Besvold, Bez passed away peacefully at his home Dec. 5th, with his wife Merry and his children Gregg, Laurie, Dana and Chris at his side. He had 9 grandchildren. Bez joined the Navy at 17 ½ and spent his sea duty in the Pacific Theater. After coming home Bez started working at Pac Bell Telephone Comp. in 1947. In 1951 he married Doris Dick and started his family. Bez retired from Pac Bell after 40 years. Bez loved being a telephone man.
In 1996 Bez married Merry Stenbom and enjoyed his retirement with their many travels all over the world. Bez loved his family, his friends, fishing, boating messing around in his garden, video poker in Laughlin, and ice cream. All of his family and friends have lost their best friend.
