Carol Ann Follingstad
June 1st, 1945- January 3rd 2011
Born in Oak Park, Illinois and lived in Chicago during her youth. Completed nursing degree at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn. Completed B.S. in Health Sciences and complete a Master’s in International Public Health.
Carol moved to Hollywood in 1971 where she participated in local theatre for over 20 years. She moved to Burbank in 1981 where she resided ever since. She developed a specialty in lactation consultation and worked with newborns for 20 years at Glendale Memorial Hospital. Carol went to Africa four times to immunize children.
She was talented in stitchery and photography and adopted many cats. She is survived by her mother, Iris H. Follingstad and sister, Joyce Follingstad both of Portland, Oregon; sister, Diane Follingstad; brother-in-law, Al Scovern, and her nephew, Cary Fontana, all of Lexington, Kentucky.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 9th at the First Presbyterian Church of Burbank (521 E. Olive St.)
