Bank is changing Brand locations

Community Bank will relocate its Glendale business banking center from 100 N. Brand Blvd. to the Lexington Building at 500 N. Brand Blvd., effective Jan. 31.

In a statement, bank president and chief executive Dave Malone noted the location is closer to the freeway and has more parking for customers.

“The Lexington Building will allow us to better serve the specific needs of our clients, and we look forward to increasing our presence in Glendale and our support of its businesses,” Malone said.

Community Bank has 14 locations around Southern California. Art Resendez will continue as the manager of the Glendale office.

Financial institution completes merger

Professional Business Bank, a Pasadena-based institution with a branch at 250 N. Orange Ave. in Glendale, has completed a merger with Pasadena-based California General Bank. The combined bank, with six offices in Los Angeles and Orange counties and a focus on serving small and mid-sized businesses, will retain the Professional Business Bank name.

Color expert leads seminar at Hilton

Denise Turner, an expert on color use, interior design and design trend forecasting, will offer a seminar at the Glendale Hilton from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The first half of the seminar will offer tips on how interior design businesses can best weather economically challenging times. The second half will cover the hidden of meaning of colors and people’s response to them. The event is presented by the California Council for Interior Design Certification.
