January 7, 1918 – January 13, 2011

Joseph Ross Blouin died peacefully on January 13, 2011, at the age of 93 surrounded by family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Ross is survived by his children: Ann Blouin Jones (Stanton), and son, Ross Bogart Blouin (Jill), grandchildren: Patrick Jones, Melissa Harper (Dan), Mathew Blouin, and Craig Blouin. He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia Bogart Blouin, and daughter, Melissa Blouin Russell.

Ross was born in Oxnard, CA, the son of Hazel and Francis Ross Blouin. He grew up in Los Angeles and was a graduate of Loyola High School and University of Southern California, and affiliated with Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a lieutenant in the US Navy serving in the Pacific during WWII. Ross and Virginia were married in New London, CT, in 1943. After the war, Ross returned to Glendale where he and Ginny built their home and resided for the remainder of his life. He was a senior executive in the banking industry until retirement. His passions were family, friends, golf, and travel….especially cruising.

On Thursday, January 20, 2011, at 12:00 p.m., a memorial mass will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church at 2002 Merton Ave., Los Angeles (Eagle Rock), CA 90041. 323 254-2519.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer Foundation of America, or the American Cancer Society.
