A 55-year-old man who was struck by a passing car on Foothill Boulevard on Monday sustained a fractured arm and left leg, police said.

The man, who police did not identify, was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and may have suffered other internal injuries.

The man had apparently just gotten out of his own vehicle on the 3600 block of Foothill Boulevard, when he was hit by a car driven by a 79-year-old man, who was also taken to a hospital.

The man complained of pain related to his airbag deploying after police said he went on to hit another parked car. Police officials did not immediately release his name and said an investigation into the cause of the collisions was ongoing.
