Florence June Daniel Renoudet

March 23, 1929 – February 18, 2011

Born in Joliet, IL to Edward James Daniel and Margaret Elizabeth Trout Daniel, who preceded her in death, Flo was a coloratura soprano whose love of music led to her participation in musical and dramatic circles. In addition to her beautiful singing voice, Flo was a talented competitive and synchronized swimmer on Chicago’s famed Town Club Swim Team.

Flo graduated from Joliet Junior College in 1957 and moved to California where she began a 35-year career in the Music Department of Walt Disney Studios. She was Executive Secretary to Robert Jackman and, later, Jay Lawton, vital to them both in running the department. She was loved by all at Disney who knew her. Flo also sang with the choir of the First Presbyterian Church in Burbank where she was a member since 1966.

Flo is survived by her husband Pierre ‘Pete’ Renoudet, her sister Dorothy Zachary, nieces and nephew Mari, Mindy, and Mark Zachary and their spouses, a great-niece and four great-nephews, one great-great niece, and a host of family and friends. Addtionally special friends missing Flo are Toshi Adams and the entire George and Janet Strattan family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canine Companions for Independence (www.cci.org/southwest), Actors and Others for Animals (www.actorsandothers.com), or any animal care charity.

A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Burbank on Sunday, February 27th at 3:30 pm.
