Why are you seeking re-election?

I am seeking re-election to the school board to continue the work I have done over my past two terms.

What does the district need to improve on?

Like most districts in California, we must do better at closing the achievement gap, especially for our Hispanic sub-group. In California, it is estimated that 50% of the population will be Hispanic/Latino by, I believe, 2050. As a state, as a nation, we cannot allow a large portion of our population to fail to be academically proficient.

What is your stance on Measure S, and why?

I absolutely support Measure S, and am proud to co-chair the School Facilities Bond Committee — Yes on S.
