1924 - 2011

Long-time Burbank resident Bertha (Betty) Tobin passed away 3/15/2011 after a long illness.

Betty, the oldest of four children was born 4/23/1924 to William and Ethel Munster and graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1942. She met the love of her life, Ken Tobin and was married in 1944. Together, she and Ken had four children.

Betty, devoted her life to home, family and faith. She and Ken were founding members of St. Francis Xavier Parish School; she was President of the Altar Society. Betty spent countless hours cheering her children on in their various sports activities. In her later years, she devoted her time to the Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center Guild.

Betty is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ken, her daughter Gayle, and her daughter Ellen. Her son Tim (Donna) and daughter Gerriann (Mark Guho) survive her, along with her seven grandchildren.

Services will be held at the San Fernando Mission Chapel at 11:00am on Thursday, March 24; interment will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations in Betty’s name go to her caregivers at Mary Health of the Sick, 2929 Theresa Drive, Newbury Park Ca, 91320.
