Woman injured in collision with motorist

A 64-year-old woman suffered cuts and bruises Friday when a motorist struck her while she was pushing a shopping cart, police said.

The woman was walking on Pacific Avenue and Milford Street about 7:42 p.m. when the motorist, who was traveling at least 20 mph, hit her while she pushed a shopping cart, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

The force of the shopping cart being struck launched the woman forward and onto the ground, he said.

Paramedics treated the woman at the scene for cuts to her wrist and cheek, Lorenz added.
