Area 1: 1400 block of West Victory Boulevard

At 4:15 a.m. on March 30, officers responded to calls about the sound of gunshots and an argument between a man and woman. Burbank police contacted Melvin Cruz, 35, and Starling Eisenberg, 23, who were inside the apartment where the noise allegedly originated, and reported finding a handgun, narcotics and cash.

Cruz was charged with two counts for gross negligence of discharging a firearm, one count for possession of narcotics for sale and one count of possession of narcotics while armed with a firearm. Eisenberg faces one count of possessing narcotics for sale.

3400 block of West Magnolia Boulevard

At 3:41 a.m. on March 30, the front window of the Best of Time store was reported as being smashed. A nearby wooden planter was used to smash the window, but no loss was reported.

3200 block of West Victory Boulevard

At 2:45 p.m. on March 30, an anonymous caller reported a man for possibly masturbating in his vehicle while parked at Ralph Foy Park. When Burbank Police officers approached, it appeared the man was pulling up his pants. The caller did not sign a citizen’s arrest complaint and the man was released after an investigation.
