For gosh sake, is Mr. Settle losing his mind (“Let streets stay unswept,” March 28)? Or maybe he lives on a mountain top with no neighbors?
Obviously, he has never lived across from a park. Every morning, the first thing I see is trash from people who park and eat late at night and throw their trash in the street. The park employee does what he can, but it is an endless battle. On weekends it is twice as bad.
Without street sweeping we would be buried in trash. This service is necessary.
