George Frederick Lawson, age 84, passed away in his Studio City home on Saturday, March 12, 2011 surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Albina Frances O’Brien of Youghal, Ireland and George Waldemar Lawson of Middleton, Connecticut.

He is survived by wife, Vilma; children Jean, Lou and Karen; grandchildren, Julie, Michael, Rebekah, Christan, Amy, Katherine, Kirsten, Kristi-Lynn, Kenny, and Kari; great-grandchildren, Dana, Allison, Alix, Ayden, Nicholas, Katya, Brooklyn, Mazie and Sadie; sister Judi and brother-in-law Robert.

George enjoyed spending time with family, golfing with his buddies and he especially loved to sing. He was an active member of the St. Francis de Sales choir.

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 6:30 PM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church
