Zarian to host award contender

A resident nominated for woman of the year honors by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Greater Los Angeles Chapter is scheduled to appear live Thursday on “The Larry Zarian Show” to discuss her fundraising efforts.

Jennifer Giannini was nominated for the award for her contributions to the society. Breeana Garrett, of the Los Angeles chapter, is also scheduled to be on the show to discuss the fundraising campaign for research on a cure for the blood cancers.

Hundreds of candidates for the award compete for the title in 41 cities across the nation during the 10-week fundraising drive, according to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
