Police were searching Wednesday for a suspect who allegedly stabbed another man during an argument with a woman at a Central Avenue apartment building.
The victim was stabbed in the shoulder and was taken to Glendale Memorial Hospital, where he was being treated for the non-life-threatening injury, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.
The incident occurred just after 2 p.m. on the 1100 block of Central Avenue.
The suspect was arguing with a woman in a stairwell in the apartment, when the victim stepped in to break up the dispute and was stabbed, Lorenz said.
Someone drove the victim to the hospital, where officials alerted police to the stabbing.
Police officials surrounded the North Central neighborhood in search of the man Wednesday afternoon.
