Crews put out vehicle fire, police find missing 85-year-old woman

GLENDALE — Firefighters put out a vehicle fire Thursday inside a detached garage in a North Glendale neighborhood, officials said.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which started just after 3 p.m. on the 1800 block of Tamer Lane, fire officials said.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Glendale police on Thursday found an 85-year-old woman who went missing this week after leaving a residential care center.

Angelina Saldana, who suffers from hypertension, was last seen at noon Tuesday exiting the front doors of the Broadview Residential Care Center on the 500 block of Broadway, according to police.

She was found Thursday at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, police said.

Saldana, who didn’t have family or friends in the area, is beginning to show signs of dementia, police said.
