Glendale Centre Theatre is top-notch

Share

I frequently attend five quite different excellent live theaters. The productions I enjoy range from classics to avant-garde, from the Broadway genre to thought-provoking to just plain fun.

For great family entertainment, the Glendale Centre Theatre productions are extremely well done and most entertaining, including “The Happiest Millionaire,” which we thoroughly enjoyed recently with friends. Not only does the theater produce fine family entertainment, it provides summer acting camp that my granddaughter has enjoyed the past two summers.

Unfortunately, I have read recently that because of lower attendance in recent years, the theater may have to shut down (“Theaters trying to stage a rally,” May 21). This would be a great loss for Glendale, even more so now that we have unhappily lost A Noise Within to Pasadena.

I urge Glendale, its people and its institutions to support the Glendale Centre Theatre in any way they can so it can continue its 63-year tradition of providing fine entertainment that all can enjoy.
