Reporter has helped shine the light

The June 28 Glendale News-Press article “Montrose farmers market enjoys revenue surge,” showing the dramatic business turnaround of our local Montrose farmers market, is a great example of the “freedom of the press” shining the light on public accountability.

No doubt that others closer to the issue deserve credit, but it seems obvious that the persistent inquiry of a local reporter is helping local officials go to where the light has been shown and root out what others may have suspected.
