A 20-year-old Glendale man was arrested Friday night after he tried to flee from officers who allegedly spotted him placing a tagging sticker near the Glendale Galleria, police said.
Kevin Lopez was taken into custody about 8:51 p.m. on suspicion of vandalism and resisting arrest after an officer saw him place a sticker on a light pole on Central Avenue and Americana Way, according Glendale police reports.
The officer advised Lopez to “Come here,” but he ran away. The officer chased Lopez on Central and finally caught up to him, grabbing his back.
As the pair fell to ground, the officer was able to cuff Lopez, who admitted to belonging to a tagging crew, according to police reports.
Lopez told police he placed three to four tagging stickers along Central, according reports.
