Bites and Sights: Fun and free summer activities for kids

Share

These long days of summer can really drag with your kids off from school with nothing to do.

Now that I have a baby at home, I understand how difficult it can be to keep a child entertained and stimulated all day long. But you’d be surprised to see how many great activities are available for you and your kids right in your own backyard - and for free, too!

With just a quick browse through the Americana calendar of events I found a big selection of fun things for kids to do. Spend the whole day hopping from one activity to the next or go to one a day, either way, your child is sure to be entertained.
