Katheryn (Kay) Kellogg

September 2, 1918 – July 8, 2011

Katheryn (Kay) Kellogg, peacefully passed away July 8, 2011at home at the age of 92. She was a 64 year resident of Burbank and owner of Airmotive Carburetor Co. located in Burbank. She was born in Lead Hill, Arkansas to William F. and Maude Holt on September 2, 1918. The second youngest of 8 children she graduated from Lead Hill High School and in 1937 she married the love of her life, friend and partner, William F. (Bill) Kellogg. As World War II broke out they moved to California where Bill worked at North American Aviation and Kay at Sears-Roebuck. After the war, they opened Airmotive Carburetor Co., near Grand Central Airport in Glendale and bought their first home in Burbank so their daughter (Marie) Elena could begin school. In 1955 they relocated the business to Burbank on Riverside Drive where they spent most of their time working their business and enjoying their two young grandsons. After Bill died in 1978, Kay continued to run the family business, never slowing down and forever “on the go”. She loved traveling to Hawaii and Laughlin and always enjoyed visiting with her friends at her favorite spots, Frank’s and Tally Rand and dancing at Genio’s.

Kay is survived by her daughter, (Marie) Elena Hubbell, Burbank, her grandsons, Darren (Wendy) Hubbell, Burbank and Steven Hubbell, Burbank. She will be missed by her adored seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Rudy (Lian), Steven, D.J., William and Ethan. And, she will be sorely missed by her long time friend and partner Ervin Phillips and her faithful and loyal adopted family, Leslie and Bobby.

Services will be Wednesday, July 20th at 12:30pm at Church of the Hills, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
