Thomas Patrick Kuh, 56, passed away on June 26, 2011 in Glendale, CA in the company of his family and friends. Tom was born in Burbank, CA on March 30, 1955. He spent most of his childhood in Virginia and graduated from McLean High School in 1973, excelling in football and wrestling. He enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Lawton, Oklahoma, and graduated from Cameron University upon his discharge from the military.

Tom moved to California in 1981, and joined the Glendale Police Department. He retired from the department after 25 years of distinguished service where he was awarded the Medal of Valor for Heroism, the Department’s highest award.

Tom was an active member, and past commander of the American Legion Post 377. Since his retirement, he was a highly regarded instructor of Administration of Justice at Glendale Community College where he shared his many stories and experiences with his students who really appreciated his candor and no nonsense style.

Tom is survived by his children Taylor and Ian Kuh, his former wife Ann Kuh, parents Ruth and Richard Kuh, brothers Jim (LouAnne) and John (Marlene) Kuh and sisters Katie Dougal and Suzie (Brent) Trockman and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Mike and Mark Kuh. He was a beloved brother, son, father and friend who will be greatly missed by those lucky enough to have had him be a part of our lives.

An interment ceremony will be held on Friday, August 5the at 10:15am at Riverside National Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at the American Legion Post 377 at 1:30pm, 10039 Pinewood Ave., Tujunga, CA 91042.
