Verdugo Hills Hospital named one of the healthiest companies in industry survey

Verdugo Hills Hospital today announced as one of the “Healthiest Companies in
America” in 2010 by a health care management organization.

Interactive Health Solutions listed the hospital and 43 other companies based on how well they take care of employees and their families through health care policies and programs.

Verdugo Hills Hospital, in a statement, cited its V-Care Wellness Program as having helped employees discover previously undiagnosed illnesses, including 21 people who learned they had “a very serious life-threatening condition, including several forms of cancer.”

“The primary goal of our V-Care Wellness Program has been to improve the health and well-being of our employee members and their families,” said Paul Celuch, vice-president of Human Resources and Support Services at the hospital. “Over the past two years, I believe we’ve been successful at achieving that.”
