More than $30,000 in damages was caused in a blaze that swept Saturday through a home’s garage in Northeast Glendale, fire officials said.

The blaze occurred at about 4:23 a.m. in a detached, single-story garage and small home office, which was attached to the rear of the building on the 2900 block of Graceland Way, fire officials said.

Seven Glendale fire units, a rescue ambulance and two additional crews from Los Angeles and Pasadena fire departments responded to the blaze amid fears that the fire would spread into the hillside, Battalion Chief Greg Godfrey said.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which was knocked down in less than an hour.

Damages were estimated at $25,000 to the building and $7,000 in contents, fire officials said.
