Helen Enyart

December 7, 1906- August 12, 2011

Helen Enyart, ont of Glendale’s oldest residents, passed away peacefully at her home. She spent her childhood in Rochester, New York, but her adventurous spirit led her to California in the 1920’s. there she met her future husband, Robert “Bob” Enyart, and they were married in 1932 and established a home in Glendale. Bob predeceased her in 1996.

Her first love was gardening. Her beautiful backyard reflected her hard work and she continued to garden well into her 90’s.

She joined the YWCA Las Amigas Woman’s Auxiliary Club of Glendale in 1958. She held many offices including President and was a member for over 50 years. The organization raised thousands of dollars to support Y programs and infrastructure such as its pool and gym. She established everlasting friendships with the members and loved being involved in the fund raising activities.

She dedicated her life to her family and treasured her man friends. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara McCullough and Donna Sauer of Glendale and Dorothy Verble of Gilroy and her grandchildren Mark McCullough, Chris McCullough, Gina Hueston, Dean Sauer and Don Sauer and she has nine great-grandchildren.

Helen’s love of life and her unwavering positive attitude will be remembered by all of those who loved her.

The family plans to hold a private memorial service.
