Share

Daytime temperatures could hit 104 degrees today through next week, prompting concerns of brush fires amid relatively low humidity.

The National Weather Service is warning of increased fire danger this weekend as a dominant high pressure system brings temperatures to a peak later this week. In the Greater Glendale area, highs could hit 105 degrees on Friday.

In Pasadena, daytime temperatures were expected to be a bit cooler, but only by a couple degrees. The high predicted for today was 100 degrees, peaking at 102 degres on Friday, according to the weather service.

Triple-degree heat is expected to remain through early next week.

The current fire danger level at Angeles National Forest is at “high,” the third in a six-tiered warning system.
