Margaret Louise Hastings

Margaret Hastings, 94, died August 26, 2011 at Huntington Memorial Hospital. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She was a long time resident of La Cañada. While raising her family, she volunteered in many community organizations and was a member of the La Cañada Presbyterian Church and the Assistance League of Flintridge.

She loved music, tending to her flowers and succulents, and had an uncanny talent for color and interior design, her profession.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis J. Hastings, her sons, Lewis J. Hastings Jr. of La Cañada and Chase Hastings of Yosemite, and her daughter, Hilary Ross of Fresno, along with grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Hoagland of Palos Verdes Estates.

It was her wish that a kindness be done for a friend, instead of sending flowers.
