Pay no attention to nutty fringe groups

Regarding the story about the City Council responding to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals over the Glendale Rose Parade float (Rose float design brings PETA protests, Sept. 1):

That our City Council would even respond to the shouts of a nutty fringe group like PETA about an elephant-design float made of flowers is very telling about the quality of our elected officials.

Next election, let’s think about putting into office some actual leaders who will focus on actual issues, shall we?
