Richard 'Dick" Carter

March 27, 1916- September 6, 2011

Dick Carter died peacefully at Ann's Place in Panorama City. He was born in Fairfax Missouri and grew up in Chappell Nebraska where he met and married Margaret Barnes, his high school sweetheart.. They moved to California in 1935 to start a new life. Dick joined the Navy during WWII and upon his discharge settled in Burbank to live the next 65 years.

His life revolved around the Masons, Shriners, Eastern Star and Job's Daughters organizations. He was Past Master of Burbank Lodge 406, President of the Burbank Shrine Club along with many other boards and directives. He was honored with many awards, notably The Hiram Award for many years of outstanding service. He leaves a son, Richard C.,daughter in law Diane, Grandson Richard K., Granddaughters Sharon and Cynthia, 5 great and 5 great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Shriners Hospitals, in care of Burbank Masonic Lodge 406.

Memorial Service will be held at Burbank Lodge on Sunday Sept 18.
