A transient was stabbed in the abdomen midnight Friday outside a 7-Eleven in South Glendale, police said.

The transient, whose name wasn’t released, was taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, but his injuries were not considered life threatening, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said. The homeless man was known to frequent Glendale, he added.

No one has been arrested in connection with the stabbing, which occurred in the 1100 block of South Glendale Avenue.

Few details were released about the incident, which Lorenz said doesn’t appear to be gang-related.

The attacker was described as a man in his 30s with a shaved head.

Anyone with details about the stabbing may call police detectives at (818) 548-3987, or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
