Slow down, pay attention

I read recently that Glendale has once again been named as being one of the worst cities for reckless driving and accidents (“Drivers score poorly again,” Sept. 3). Then I read recently in the L.A. Times obituary section about a character actress who passed away — her right leg was amputated after she was struck by a car in Glendale in 2002.

What a sad commentary for our fair city.

When are people in Glendale going to awake to the fact that reckless driving can maim, hurt and kill? We need to slow down, pay attention and be courteous to other drivers and pedestrians.
